Sufganiyot Recipe

Oh right!!! I was going to tell you the recipe for the sufganiyot Ray-chan and I made on Monday!!

1⅔ cups all purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup sour cream
2 tbsp granulated sugar
½ tsp salt
1½ cup confectioners' sugar (powdered sugar)
1½ cup oil

Liquid measuring cup
1 cup measure
⅓ cup measure
1 tbsp measure
1 tsp measure
½ tsp measure
Frying pan
Large bowl
Paper towels
2 Plates (preferably not paper)
Zip-lock baggie
Jam jar

In a frying pan, heat the oil to medium heat.
Pour the confectioners' sugar into the baggie and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients until mixed thoroughly.
Take a tablespoon full at a time and carefully place in the oil-fry for 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown flipping every so often.
Place the paper towel and onto the plate, then carefully remove doughnuts from the oil and place onto the paper towel to drain.
Once cooled make sure they're done all the way through by putting a knife through the center-if residue remains, cut open and place back into oil.
Take a fully-cooked and cooled doughnut and place in the baggie-move it around until fully coated, then place on extra plate. Repeat until all doughnuts are coated.
Finally, let the oil cool down. As this is too much oil to run down the drain, pour it into an empty jam jar or other jar of sorts to use again another time.
These are best eaten the day of, so enjoy!!

I was surprised that it used sour cream o.o You couldn't taste it at all but it still seemed odd to me when I first read it

Sorry I didn't post yesterday!!!! :O I really don't even have an excuse as to why I didn't post... m(_ _)m ゴメンナサイ

So yesterday my dad was going back and forth from home to the hospital to see my mom, and Stephen and decided to meet at the library nearby...but we forgot that it's closed on Sundays >-< Stephen came over to my house for a bit and scolded me for not making my bed, then we went to Dunns Bros, and then proceeded to go walk down by the river... There are snowmobiling tracks out on the ice still, so I thought the ice would be safe and we walked around for a bit out on the river. Some people were about to walk by so I went and got my stuff from off of a nearby bench and then went down the rocks back onto the river...and I fell in =.='' It was only one leg at least and it wasn't very deep there either way, but it still scared the crap out of me and Stephen so we went back to the bench and tried to dry my boot (now sitting in my basement still dripping >.>), and he decides to smack the boot against one hand to help get the water out, which it did...all over my glasses =.=''' But no, thanks Stephen if you're reading this for hanging out with me and helping me with my little accident hahaha xD

Rachel's coming over in a few minutes now and we're going to watch Tin Man!!! :D (it's a 6 hour movie so I don't watch it too often haha)

Grawr!!! I can't find my phone charger TT~TT

Ways to help Japan

By now I'm sure we all know about the devastating earthquakes happening in northern Japan. Here are a few ways that you can help the cause.

1. The first is obvious-raise awareness. Post on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Myspace (haha if you even have one), MyYearbook, ANYWHERE to raise awareness with friends and family so that even if you can't donate anything, you can still possibly reach someone who can.

2. Text "REDCROSS" to 90999. This will donate $10 through your phone bill.

3. If you have an Ameba Pico account, they are currently taking donations through Ameba Gold. For 100 ag you can get 10 red balloons for either holding or just decoration, and with 500 ag you can get 50 balloons. You can buy 500 ag with only $4.99 (this is the minimum amount needed to be paid for any ag).

4. Go to and make a small donation of $2.50, and they will match your donation, making it double the worth.

5. Purchase a Lady Gaga "We Pray for Japan" wristband for $5.00 at On one side it says "WE PRAY FOR JAPAN," and on the other it says "日本の為に祈りを。"

6. Go to any of the following organizations through Network for Good and make a donation.
- American National Red Cross
- AmeriCares
- GlobalGiving Foundation
- International Medical Corps
- Save the Children Federation
